Posted on Tuesday May 5 0:00:00 BST 2009 We are very pleased to welcome Elliot - Bernmont Alexander to our home.
He is a Callum son, out of Ch. Bernmont Onya. He is just 8 weeks old and has settled in well with us.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Posted on Thursday Apr 30 0:00:00 BST 2009 We are very disappointed that when we had Brianna scanned last week, there were no puppies, so we will try again next time.
However, some good news, as we will be collecting our new puppy at the weekend from the Bernmont Kennels. He is going to be called Elliott and is a Callum son, so fingers crossed that he matures into a handsome dog like his daddy!
We were also really pleased to hear that Drystan once again won his class on Sunday at an International Show in The Netherlands. He now only needs one more point for his Dutch Junior Champion title, so fingers crossed. He is hopefully off to Germany next weekend to the Club Show and we are thrilled that a Lanleadane is being shown in Europe.
We went to the United Saint Bernard Club Show on Sunday and took these pictures of a Lord daughter - Snowdonium Dream Girl bred by John Madine. She is sister to his Kane and what a great looking girl she is. Her owners are very proud of her and justifiably so. She won 2nd place in a very strong Limit Class, so well done.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Posted on Thursday Apr 30 0:00:00 BST 2009 Sadly we had to have Pickle put to sleep on Monday to prevent her from any further suffering. She had only been poorly for a couple of days. She was nearly 9 and had always enjoyed life to the full. We still have her mum, auntie and brother here at Lanleadane. Pickle was only very lightly shown, but won a 2nd place at Crufts.
![]() Posted on Wednesday Apr 15 0:00:00 BST 2009 We very sadly had to say goodbye to our grand old lady, Hetty. She had very quickly gone down and when she decided she would no longer eat even human food, especially the fish and chips she she was brought from the chippy on Friday, we knew it was time to let her go. The decision is never easy, but it was the last thing we could do for her after her giving us nearly 13 years of love and companionship.
She was a character right till the end and will always have a very special place in ours hearts. She was known by all who knew her in her showing days, as Hetty Nightmare, as her behaviour was always so unpredictable in the ring - even as a Veteran. Sometimes she would behave and move in a controlled manner, but other times she would charge round the ring like a racehorse!! She loved everyone and anyone who has visited us here will remember how Hetty demanded their attention!
As well as loving everyone, Hetty absolutely adored puppies - any puppies and would always get into the whelping room and spend time with the babies and this is how she will be remembered.
This is Hetty with Daffy's puppies after Daffy herself had died.
![]() ![]() ![]() We hope Hetty is now running like a puppy again at The Rainbow Bridge and is looking after all the Lanleadane dogs she will have met up with there.
Until we meet again, Hetty, take care and run free xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
